The Center for the Study of Religion and Society kicked off the Fall semester with a welcome back dinner at the Lauber. Affiliated students and faculty members gathered to socialize and discuss the coming year.

The 2022 William V. D'Antonio Award for Graduate Student Excellence in the Sociology of Religion was awarded to Feyza Akova (pictured, above).
The 2022 Mary Ellen Konieczny Award for the best graduate student Sociology of Religion Paper was awarded to Syed Eisar Haider for his paper entitled, "Local Expressions, Global Arenas: Rituals, emotions and narrative within the pilgrimage Event for Shia Muslims."
